With a background in French literature and language and a post-graduate degree in publishing, Julien Cabocel has chosen to pursue a creative career. It was while reading a short story by Jorge Luis Borges that he intuited the infinite possibilities offered by artificial intelligence. Through sheer computing power, and the random assembly of letters, the machine can write all stories, past ones that we might have forgotten, as well as future ones that have yet to be written. It's a revelation. He turned it into a novel. He then decided to take part in the AI revolution by training in prompt engineering and then taking over the company openplace, which is specialized in content creation. Julien speaks and writes in French, English and Dutch.
I've spent over thirty years writing. With a passion for syntax and language, I have experimented with most literary genres: novels, short stories and fairy tales. I've also written a number of songs, musical librettos and screenplays, journalistic articles and editorial content. The emergence of generative AI could not help but excite me, as it challenged my know-how, shook up my certainties and flirted with my passion for words. Through training and practice, I've come to understand its current limitations. I also know how to get the best out of it, to support creation and deliver incredibly relevant and effective content where time is no longer an issue.
